When operating a freeze dryer with a manual or semi-automatic loading system, conventional wired probes will suffice.
However when operating a Freeze Dryer with an automatic loading and unloading system (and therefore featuring an intermdeiate ‘Pizza Oven style’ door) you will need to plan on using Wireless Temperature Probes that will be fitted to a selection of vials. With this kind of solution you will require according data transmission and -processing software. These are high value added solutions.
A more convenient alternative to the Wireless Temperature Probes would be to use Static Probes. These will however only allow data evaluation after completion of the lyophilization cycle.
